Disclaimer
SizeOnDesk provides browser-based image utilities and general educational information. We try to keep common pixel targets practical and current, but platform layouts, upload limits, compression, and recommendations can change at any time.
No platform affiliation
SizeOnDesk is not YouTube, Google, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Meta, X, LinkedIn, or Pinterest. It is not sponsored, endorsed, operated, or approved by those companies. Product and company names belong to their respective owners and are used only to explain a common image use.
Common targets, not guarantees
A size shown by a tool is a commonly used target. Different devices may crop a cover in different ways. An app may compress a file after upload, reject it for another reason, or change its requirements. Labels such as “typical” and safe-area notes are guidance, not official templates. Always inspect the final preview inside the platform before publishing.
Your files and results
The tools run in the browser and results depend on your source image, chosen fit, format, and quality. A low-resolution original cannot gain real detail just because its pixel dimensions are enlarged. Keep an original copy before replacing files. You are responsible for having permission to use, edit, and publish any image you select.
No professional advice
Articles are general explanations, not legal, branding, marketing, printing, or professional design advice. Pixel-to-centimetre results use a 96 DPI screen estimate and should not be used as a guaranteed print measurement. For important commercial printing, ask the printer for its required physical dimensions, bleed, colour profile, and DPI.
Availability
We do not promise uninterrupted access or a particular result on every browser and device. To the extent allowed by law, SizeOnDesk is not responsible for losses caused by relying on a size, failed upload, altered crop, reduced quality, or unavailable service. If an app still rejects a file, check its current help page and try a lower JPG quality.
